Read Daniel 7:13-14, John 10:22-33

So far we have seen that Jesus was a compassionate person who did many miracles.  He was the fulfilment of 1,200 years of Old Testament prophecies.

Jesus Himself tells us about who He thinks He really is.
He called himself the Son of Man regularly which relates to Daniel 7:13-14. In this Old Testament passage, all authority and power and honour and glory are given to one like a Son of Man.

He often called Himself the Son of God. This phrase was accepted to refer to the One, (the Messiah) who had a special relationship to God.
He often equated himself with God. On one occasion He said, ‘I and the father are one’ (John 10:30). This claim to be God was recognised by the crowd and they sought to stone Him. They said to Jesus, ‘We are not stoning you for any of these," replied the Jews, but for blasphemy, because you, a mere man, claim to be God.’ (John 10:33).

Others in the Bible also recognised Jesus as God. As we saw in the above example, the crowds realised Jesus’ claim and tried to stone Him for blasphemy.

Thomas saw Jesus after the resurrection and exclaimed to Him, “My Lord and my God!” (John 20:28).

Paul the Apostle saw Jesus and wrote many things about Him. Once he said ‘...of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised! Amen (Romans 9:5). At another time he said, ‘For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity lives in bodily form,’ (Colossians 2:9). For Paul Jesus was God in all His fullness.

In his vision, the Apostle John records Jesus as saying, ‘I am the First and the Last…’ These words are expressed by God and apply to God only. Jesus is showing John that He is God.

What the Bible says is that Jesus is God. There is no tension or problem in the Scriptures with God the Father and God the Son. We even find that the Holy Spirit is God. It’s a mystery to us but that doesn’t make it any less true.
