If you have read this booklet as a non-believer, you have several options available to you.
1. You can simply do nothing and continue on with your life. If that is the case, we thank you for taking the time to read this booklet and to consider its contents.
2. You could seek more information. If you are wanting more information about Jesus, about the Church or the Bible or anything else related to Christianity please speak to the person who gave you this book or ring the ChristLife office on 4633 - 4000 and speak to one of our pastors or elders.
3. You can commit your life to Christ Jesus and become a follower of Jesus. This step is to be taken by those who are convinced that Jesus came into the world and died on the cross for their rejection of God. They believe that Jesus rose again on the 3rd day and ascended to heaven to the right hand of God. The Bible assures us that everyone who believes in Jesus is given God’s Holy Spirit and is a child of God. Each person who believes should belong to a Bible believing church as well.
Becoming a follower of Jesus is not about rituals and performances. If you are convicted and convinced that you need to follow Jesus then pray the following prayer. You can use your own words or the words written here.
Lord God Almighty, I know I have been rejecting you and pushing you away all of my life. I am truly sorry for doing this and I ask you to forgive me and to wash me clean.
I thank and praise you Father God that Jesus died on the cross for my rejection of you and that He rose to eternal life on the 3rd Day. I also thank you that you promise to send your Holy Spirit to all who believe in Jesus and I openly welcome Him into my life right now.
Father God, please show me what it means for me to follow Jesus and to live for Him in every area of my life.
In Jesus name I pray, Amen.
